Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon M. Lopez addressed the Korean and Philippine business delegation during the Philippines-Korea Business Forum and Luncheon in Seoul, South Korea on 05 June 2018. Secretary Lopez highlighted our goal to strengthen the relationship between the two countries especially the trade and investment ties. The Trade Chief also discussed the opportunities under the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Agreement, manufacturing resurgence in the Philippines, Inclusive Innovation-led Industrialization Strategy (i3s), and the Ease of Doing Business in the Philippines, among others. Generally, Secretary Lopez encapsulated on why Korea should “partner with the Philippines.”
Also present in the Business Forum were Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, Science and Technology Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña, and Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.♦
