LGU and Negosyo Center Candelaria conducts Balikbayanihan 2021, highlights more services and programs for OFWs
DTI Negosyo Center Candelaria thru the initiative of LGU Candelaria’s Overseas Filipino Worker’s (OFW) Helpdesk, presented a talk on financial education, How to Start a Business, and DTI services during the Balikbayanihan 2021: Moderating the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic for Candelaria Repatriated OFWs, held thru a Zoom meeting, 16 September 2021.
A total of 26 participants attended the activity. The participants were composed of repatriated OFW’s, affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Balikbayanihan activity aims to equip the participants with knowledge on mental health awareness, financial literacy, cooperative and government services for the OFWs.
Information on financial literacy and starting a business was presented by Business Counselor Zarah Quintillano. She emphasized the importance of debt management and allocating for savings. She also presented the steps in starting a business and also offered the available financing services for OFWs affected by the pandemic thru the Pondo Para sa Pagbabago (P3) Heroes Cares Program. ♦
