DTI Rizal through Negosyo Center Angono Talks about Youth Entrepreneurship

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal, through the Negosyo Center Angono, recently participated in a youth entrepreneurship training initiative organized by the Shelter of Aspiring Youth Organization (SAYO). This event, supported by the UNBOUND foundation, was held on the 3rd floor of Ynares Capitol Hall in Antipolo, Rizal on April 27, 2024, and attracted over 100 youths from various cities and municipalities across the province.

The occasion was graced by Atty. Angelica Bernardo, Rizal Provincial Youth Development Officer, who offered invaluable support and encouragement to the young entrepreneurs, and Ms. Sharon Dioco, Chief of the Business Development Division at DTI Rizal.

The training featured an impressive roster of resource speakers, including:

  • Ms. Roselle Galcing, Negosyo Center Angono Business Counsellor, who shared tips on starting a business as well as the registration process and requirements.
  • Ms. Enha Erica Brondo, Student Affairs Professional 2 at the Office of Social Concern and Involvement, Ateneo De Manila University, who discussed entrepreneurship.
  • Atty. Dulce Bustamante, Chairperson of ICA-ASIA and Pacific Committee on Youth Cooperation.
  • Ms. Princess Jenny Quibra, Sole Proprietor and General Manager of JHQ Fashion Collection, who shared her success stories.

These esteemed speakers provided insightful guidance and shared their expertise, inspiring and equipping the youth participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. The initiative underscores the commitment of DTI Rizal to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth in the province. ♦
