DTI Rizal holds costing and pricing webinar for food industry MSMEs
More than forty-four (44) attendees consisting of CHAMPS beneficiaries, potential and other MSMEs took part in the 6th module for this year’s season covering Costing and Pricing for the Food Industry held last August 30, 2024 via Zoom and Facebook Live.
Hosted by Negosyo Center Cardona Business Counselor Johanna Faye Javier, the session started at 1:00 PM with opening preliminaries, followed by a message by DTI Rizal Business Development Division Chief Sharon F. Dioco. Ms. Dioco highlighted the importance of proper costing for those engaged in to ensure profitability and longevity.

Chef Marie Fiona Flores, Owner of Kayako Kitchen and Chief Marketing Officer of PACE Technology and Arts, served as the day’s speaker. She covered the basics of costing and pricing, provided tips on optimizing raw material use, shared best practices for the kitchen, and offered guidance on adjusting product prices to target specific markets.
Participants showed eagerness throughout the session and were grateful for the insights and advice they received. ♦
