DTI-Laguna, TESDA conducts training of trainers for entrepreneurship
Calauan, Laguna — On October 21–22 and November 11, 2024, the Laguna Provincial Office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Laguna) together with the Laguna Provincial Office of the Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA) successfully conducted the “Training of Trainers on Entrepreneurship” —a capacity-building program for the trainers of Technical-Vocational Education and Training. It was held at the TESDA-LLDA Provincial Training Center in Calauan, Laguna.
This entrepreneurship training aims to equip youth with foundational business skills and the entrepreneurial mindset needed to become more innovative, creative, critical thinkers, persevering, visionary, and confident. This provides step-by-step business skills essential for environmental scanning, identifying small business opportunities, and developing and operationalizing a business plan. The training was also engaging, featuring role-playing of real-life scenarios, interactive games, and activities that kept participants interested. This approach created a fun and effective learning environment that encouraged active participation.

The sessions were led by personnel from DTI-Laguna led by Negosyo Center Trade and Industry Development Analyst Ms. Portia Sophia M. Cortezano and business counselors Ms. Andrea Mae I. Macuha, Ms. Rica Mae E. Garcia, Mr. Carl Eric L. Villanueva, and Mr. Kim Carlo O. Palacio. The objective of the workshop is to deliver practical, activity-based, and learner-centered training, organized modules covering key topics on entrepreneurship and life skills that will help then realize their potential. This workshop equips participants with essential skills for both personal growth and entrepreneurial success.
This initiative underscores DTI-Laguna’s dedication and commitment to empower entrepreneurs by providing them with essential business knowledge and skills. Their ongoing commitment reflects a strong passion for fostering entrepreneurial growth in the region (KCPalacio, DTI-Laguna) ♦
