DTI-Laguna orients CMDC beneficiaries on livelihood programs
Victoria, Laguna – The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office in partnership with the Calamba Manpower Development Center (CMDC) through Negosyo Centers Calamba, Cabuyao, Pagsanjan, Rizal, and Victoria PO successfully conducted a livelihood orientation program at the 3rd Floor Lobby of Calamba City Hall.
The event opened with an inspiring welcome remarks from Ms. Celina Dacara-Manabat, RSW, City Social Services Department Head, highlighting the role of livelihood programs in driving community development and economic resilience. Mr. Tonymer Victor L. Castillo, Manpower Development Officer I, commended DTI-Laguna and the resource speakers for their valuable contributions, which played a pivotal role in the program’s success.
The program highlighted topics designed to inspire and guide attendees, including: (1) innovative business ideas to help participants identify profitable opportunities in their local markets; (2) entrepreneurial mindsetting to develop resilience, adaptability, and strategic thinking; (3) steps on how to start a business to demystify the registration process and promote compliance; (4) Consumer Education to ensure participants understand their rights and responsibilities as business operators; and (5) different DTI programs and services that offer tools, funding opportunities, and mentorship.
