Secretary Ramon M. Lopez witnessed President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as he signed into law Republic Act (RA) 11032 or the “Ease of Doing Business Act” at the Malacañan Palace on 28 May 2018.
The objective of the law is to shorten the number of days in processing permits and licenses for all business-related transactions, this also includes stricter rules like the two-strike policy for government officials who will fail to issue permits in the given period.
The “Ease of Doing Business Act” amends the Republic Act 9485, otherwise known as the “Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007”.
The signing event was also witnessed by the other Members of the Cabinet, Members of the House Senate and House of Representatives, DTI Officials and Members of the private sector and business organizations.♦
