DTI-CIAP leads “HR Forum” for the Philippine construction industry
The Department of Trade and Industry-Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (DTI-CIAP), through its manpower development arm, the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), will conduct the Philippine Construction Human Resource Forum. This pioneer forum, to be participated in by construction industry players, government agencies, members of the academe and human resource experts, will be held on 12 July 2017 at I’M Hotel, Makati Avenue, Makati City from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
With the onset of the ‘Golden Age of Infrastructure’, the summit will start the development of a naming convention on job titles and functional roles across the entire construction industry. This aims to institutionalize the standardization of career paths, eligibility requirements, compensation packages, and other relevant criteria for the construction workforce through interagency cooperation and dialogue with the private sector.
