DTI-CITEM: PH enterprises eye global sustainability gains in Taiwan mission
The Department of Trade and Industry’s Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) will lead a Philippine delegation on a market sensing mission to Taiwan on September 11–13 for SDG Asia 2025 at the Taipei World Trade Center. The mission aims to open new export opportunities for Filipino enterprises and strengthen their role in the global sustainability landscape.
The visit will allow participants to gain insights into emerging business models, innovations, and technologies in food systems, smart cities, and the circular economy. These learnings will guide the Philippines in integrating sustainability into its trade strategies, fostering partnerships, and aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Taiwan’s leadership in renewable energy, energy-efficient infrastructure, waste management, and climate adaptation underscores its role as a strategic partner for knowledge exchange. With a net-zero emissions goal set for 2050, Taiwan provides a platform for collaboration that can equip local enterprises with tools to expand market reach, build resilience, and compete in a sustainability-driven economy. ♦
