BOI sparks interest in PH critical minerals at PDAC 2024
TORONTO, CANADA — The Department of Trade and Industry (Board of Investments, Export Marketing Bureau, and Foreign Trade Service Corps), together with the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and key Philippine mining industry associations – Chamber of Mines of the Philippines and Philippine Nickel Industry Association, conducted the Philippine Roundtable Discussion (RTD) at the sidelines of Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s 2024 mineral exploration and mining convention on March 5, 2024 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, Canada.
The RTD presented the overview, policy landscape, and investment prospects in the Philippine critical minerals industry to 22 participants representing 10 companies in the fields of exploration, mining, services, mineral processing, and battery manufacturing. ♦
