PH highlights investment opportunities for Vietnamese firms in Ho Chi Minh City briefing

The Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) overseas office in Vietnam, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Ho Chi Minh City (PTIC-HCMC), in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, successfully held a Doing Business in the Philippines briefing on April 28, in partnership with the Asia Consulting Group (ACG).
The event opened with welcome remarks from Atty. Le Thi Phung, Philippine Honorary Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a special message from Philippine Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Meynardo LB. Montealegre, underscoring the strong and growing economic ties between the Philippines and Vietnam.
ACG Founder and CEO Mon Abrea led the main presentation, providing an insightful overview of the Philippine investment climate, with a focus on the CREATE MORE Act and its enhanced fiscal incentives. He emphasized key sectors ripe for investment and the strategic advantages the Philippines offers to Vietnamese enterprises seeking regional expansion.
The briefing attracted participants from various industries, including construction materials, auto parts, ICT, agriculture, wearables, and logistics—reflecting the broad interest in deepening business engagement between the two countries.
