PTIC-Brussels Launches MSME Hub to Showcase Filipino Excellence on the Global Stage
Brussels, 17 December – The Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Brussels proudly launched its MSME Hub, a global initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry aimed to promote Philippine Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and their world-class products to international markets. The launch event brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and representatives from the export and MSME sectors.
The DTI’s MSME Hub is a network of physical display space established in PTICs located in key cities worldwide. It features carefully curated and export-ready products from Filipino MSMEs, allowing international buyers to see firsthand the ingenuity, creativity, and quality of Philippine made goods.
In his remarks, Ambassador Jaime Victor Ledda emphasized the role of MSMEs as a driving force of the Philippine economy.
“This initiative is more than just a display of products; it represents the hard work and aspirations of Filipino entrepreneurs who are ready to compete globally. Through a network of curated hubs, we are opening doors for business-to-business (B2B) connections, enabling our MSMEs to gain greater access to international markets,” he said.
The MSME Hub supports business-to-business (B2B) matching, providing overseas buyers with direct access to Philippine suppliers. Through rotating exhibits, the Hub highlights products across various sectors, including food, handicrafts, home furnishings, and sustainable goods.
The project aligns with the DTI’s broader vision of promoting the Philippines as a regional hub for smart and sustainable manufacturing and services. By bridging Filipino MSMEs with international markets, the MSME Hub helps strengthen the country’s global presence while fostering economic growth and job creation at home.
The DTI invites international buyers, partners, and stakeholders to explore the MSME Hub and discover the unique quality of Filipino products. ♦
